PRP victory predicted 300 years ago!

prajarajyam-4

Believe it or not, the launch of Praja Rajyam Party and its victory in the elections was predicted three centuries ago by none other than Sri Pothuluri Veerabrahmendra Swamy, alias Brahmam garu!

This was revealed by PRP president Chiranjeevi’s brother in law and party’s general secretary Allu Aravind, at the 316th birth year of Veerabrahmendra Swamy. He recalled that the launch of a political party called Praja Rajyam and its commitment to social justice was mentioned in “Kalagnanam” written by Swamy 300 years ago.

“Somehow, we could not capitalise on this aspect during the elections. But still, the PRP will come to power, as per the predictions of Brahmamgaru. What he had predicted will definitely come true,” Aravind said.

HYDERABAD: In a noble gesture, the Praja Rajyam Party (PRP) extended monetary support of Rs 17 lakh and saved the life of a seven-year-old boy who was suffering from liver disease.

PRP leaders D Sravankumar and Katyayani disclosed this to the media at the party office here Sunday.

According to them, as G Leala, a resident of Anakapalli, had married her brother- in-law, the two children born to her had congenital liver disease. While the first son, Mohan Sai, died last year, the second one was suffering from liver disease and needed a transplant.

The doctors stated that the transplant needed about Rs 22 lakh and the family was unable to pool up such a huge amount, they informed. The issue was brought to the notice of Chiranjeevi and he asked all the party leaders to donate money liberally, the PRP leaders said.

Meanwhile, party leader and Chiranjeevi’s brother Nagendrababu spoke to the management of a hospital and convincedPRP’s aid saves 7-yr-old’s life them to perform the transplant surgery for Rs 17 lakh, they said.

As many leaders contributed their part and party general secretary Allu Aravind contributed his part through the Chiranjeevi Charitable Trust, the surgery became possible, said.

PRP functioning will be revamped: Chiranjeevi

chiru-movie

“From now, on there will be a receptive leadership at the party headquarters and all the leaders, including the disaffected ones, will be taken in to confidence,’’ stated the Praja Rajyam Party president Chiranjeevi.
He would meet all the leaders, irrespective of their positions, and would accommodate all those who worked for the party in various positions. Chiranjeevi was interacting with mediapersons here Sunday in between the ongoing constituency-wise analysis of party performance. The exercise has nearly come to an end and just a few districts remained, he stated.
After May 4, he would start meeting leaders constituencywise, including disappointed ticket aspirants.
Due to lack of time before the polls, he was not able to meet all the people, the actor said. As many of the leaders were away campaigning, there was no one in the office to give the second-rung leaders a hearing and this had brought the “non-receptive’’ tag on the party, the PRP chief pointed out.
Lack of a proper communication system had caused some errors in selection of candidates, he conceded.
Irrespective of all these problems, the party had fared well in the elections, Chiranjeevi maintained, and exuded confidence that it would get a clear majority.
There was 72.5 percent polling in the State — 17 percent more than in the previous elections — and all the additional votes had gone into the PRP kitty, he said, adding that the feedback from the candidates corroborated his estimate. Ridiculing other parties for claiming credit for increase in the polling percentage, Chiranjeevi claimed that that was to be attributed to the rise of the PRP.
He critisised both the chief minister and Opposition leader for going off on vacations, “neglecting the people’s problems’’.
The paddy produced by the farmers was not bought at minimum support price on the pretext that it contained moisture, he alleged, and wondered why prices of essentials were not declining.
Asked what action the party would take in the case of candidates who did not campaign, Chiranjeevi said such things would be looked into. He admitted that some leaders had taken the polls lightly.
The PRP chief rubbished allegations that party tickets were sold, and stated that the canard was spread by disgruntled elements.

Babu on break, Chiru at work

chadra1

In a reversal of roles, Telugu Desam Party (TDP) president N Chandrababu Naidu left for vacation and Praja Rajyam Party (PRP) president Chiranjeevi is conducting review meetings with party leaders. The seasoned politician that he is, it is unusual that Naidu has taken a break at a time when party leaders are worried over the TDP’s prospects in the elections.
Naidu, who is known for conducting a series of review meetings and tele-conferences with party leaders, left for foreign countries along with his family. After the two-phase elections, Naidu briefly reviewed the party position with his leaders. He took a break from his routine and wanted to take rest in an undisclosed foreign location.
Contrary to expectations, starturned politician Chiranjeevi opted to stay in the city. He is busy with review meetings with party leaders over the performance of the party in the elections.
The meetings will continue till May 15. Naidu, who is eyeing the Chief Minister’s ‘gaddi’, will return to the city on May 8 and might start his regular business of review meetings with district leaders from May 9.
Despite the talk that Naidu may play the ‘king-maker’ in national politics, he is away from the country, while, Chiranjeevi, who is expected to emerge as a ‘king-maker’ in State politics is busy conducting meetings.

Nagarjuna says no space to Prajarajyam

nagarjuna

Couple of years back everything was fine in between Chiranjeeevi and Nagarjuna. There was also news saying that Chiranjeevi was producing a film with Nagarjuna. But everything seems to be changed in between them, after Chiranjeevi’s launched Prajarajyam. Like many others, Nagarjuna too doesn’t seem to be supporting Chiranjeevi. Nagarjuna, who always maintained distance from politics, recently surprised everyone appearing in the advertisements of Congress.

There is also rumor that Nagarjuna is indirectly supporting Congress as he needs political support for converting Anapoorna Studios in to a commercial complex. According to recent sources, Nagarjuna has simply rejected Chiranjeevi’s request to allow a parking space at the back gate of Annapurna studios, which is just behind Prajarajyam office. It is said that earlier Nagarjuna agreed but now he simply rejected now for obvious reasons.

Chiranjeevi to keep Praja Rajyam leaders engaged

chiru21233402123

Regardless of what the outcome of the elections would be, Praja Rajyam Party (PRP) president Chiranjeevi has decided to sit in the office to ensure that the party does not go off the track.
He is contemplating to announce programmes for the party leaders and workers to ensure that the flock is together.
According to party sources, the long gap between the polls and the declaration of results has forced him to adopt this strategy.
The leaders said if Chiranjeevi stayed away from the party office, no leader would take interest in the party affairs. Chiranjeevi may announce the party programme for the next two weeks after the completion of constituency-wise performance analysis. He directed several leaders, including his brother-in-law and party general secretary Allu Aravind, not to leave the headquarters for a while and asked him to participate in the analysis process.
Following Chiranjeevi’s directions, Allu Aravind has taken up party activity even though he wanted to undergo treatment for back pain. Chiranjeevi also instructed some other State-level leaders to stay put in the party office and pay attention to people’s affairs. Apparently, Chiranjeevi wants to put the PRP in the limelight till the results are announced though the activity may change after the results are declared.
Restructuring of the party may begin after the fourth of this month as Chiranjeevi himself stated that there was a need to reorganise the PRP.
He already announced the formation of separate wings for farmers and labourers. The committees and their presidents for these wings may be named the next week.
So far, the party has been functioning with convenors at the district, constituency and mandal levels and there is a need to announce full-fledged committees for them. Chiranjeevi may use the feedback coming from the candidates and other leaders to decide the right leaders for the district, constituency and mandal levels.

Chiru: I never backed Pawar

chiranjeevi21

The Praja Rajyam president Chiranjeevi said on Sunday that he never backed the Nationalist Congress Party president, Mr Sharad Pawar, for the Prime Minister’s post.
He clarified that a section of media misquoted him about Mr Pawar’s candidacy. “When scribes sought my opinion on the candidature of Mr Pawar, I only said that he was also a competent person for the post like other leaders. However, my statement was misreported as if I endorsed Mr Pawar’s candidature,” Chiranjeevi said.
He further clarified that his party has not identified any candidate for the Prime Minister’s post.
“Partners in the Fourth Front would decide on the issue at the national level after the election results are out,” he added.
The PR chief said this during an informal chat with the scribes at his party office. Chiranjeevi also expressed confidence that his party would form the government on its own in the state by securing not less than 160 seats. “After holding review meetings with Assembly and LS contestants in the party, my confidence has risen. The increase in poll percentage and participation of women and youth is an indication of our victory,” he added. “Soon after becoming the Chief Minister the first file I will sign is the one supplying provisions to poor families at Rs 100 every month,” the PR chief said.
Meanwhile, even as Chiranjeevi was ruling out the possibility of a hung house in the state, his senior colleagues, Mr K. Vidyadhara Rao and Mr T. Sitaram predicted a hung Assembly.
“No party will get absolute majority. Whichever party emerges as the single largest one, will need PR’s support. Hence, the PR will play a key role in forming the government,” Mr Rao and Mr Sitaram said.
