Dasari Happy With Problems In PRP

The Praja Rajyam Party has been going through some doldrums situations right now. While the oppositions have never considered PRP as their opponent, one man is said to be having a great time. He is none other than Darsakaratna Dasari Narayan Rao.

It is known that Dasari created quite a stir with his ‘Mestri’ and though there were denials it was looking like Chiru was the main target. Though those efforts failed, it looks like things happened by itself and now Dasari is said to be on cloud nine with the way PRP has been struggling.

The wind for election victory right now is blowing towards Congress and Dasari has double reason to be happy since he is a staunch Congressman. And if by any chance, Chiranjeevi or PRP fails to get a decent score in it, and then it won’t be a surprise if he might come up with a celebration, say inside sources.

Spillover support for Chiru from Bellary

The cash-rich mining district might be witnessing a bi-polar contest with the BJP and the Congress fighting tooth and nail.

On Tuesday while the BJP and Congress hit the road in the district, another bunch of supporters were praying that their ‘Boss’ emerges victorious in the upcoming elections — not in Bellary or Karnataka — but in Andhra Pradesh.

They are die-hard fans of Telugu superstar and Praja Rajyam founder Chiranjeevi, hoping he becomes the next Andhra Pradesh chief minister.

True to its reputation, Bellary, which is home to Chiranjeevi’s frenzied fans, saw them rooting for not only the actor but Chiranjeevi the leader too.

Around 25 fans had crossed the borders to campaign for Chiranjeevi.

“We know elections are important in our constituency, but we cannot ignore ‘Boss’. Right from the day we got to know that he will enter the political arena, we decided to offer our support to him as we have done whenever his movies are released,” ‘Bellary’ Babu, president of the Anjiniputra Fans Associations told Express.

Apart from campaigning and lending their support to Chiranjeevi during the elections, they were also in Tirupati when the Praja Rajyam Party was launched last year.

“We invited ‘Boss’ to contest elections here but issues relating to the his party symbol kept him occupied in Andhra Pradesh,” said Babu, who organises blood donation camps on Chiranjeevi’s birthday every year.

Parakala Prabhakar to meet DGP- ask for protection

Parakala Prabhakar who made sensational allegations on PRP after resigning from the party. After these allegations, Parakala says that he is getting threatening calls from some unidentified persons. So Parakala decided to meet DGP today evening and request him to provide security.

Yuva Rajyam Party Chief Pawan Kalyan discharged

The Yuva Rajyam president, the youth wing of the Praja Rajyam Party (PRP), Mr Pavan Kalyan, was on Tuesday discharged from hospital. Doctors said that he needs rest for at least another two days.

Mr Pavan Kalyan was admitted to a corporate hospital in the city after he got fainted due to sun stroke. The Yuva Rajyam president was suffering from high fever for the past three days and suddenly collapsed on Monday evening while he was on way to Ramnagar area of the city for campaigning after completing his electioneering in the Amberpet Assembly segment.

He was immediately admitted in Yashoda Hospital,Secunderabad.

Campaign for first phase comes to an end

The campaign for the first phase of polls in the State has come to an end on Tuesday. The first phase will cover 22 Lok Sabha and 154 Assembly seats spread over 14 districts of Telangana and north Coastal Andhra.

The first phase has Union Ministers S Jaipal Reddy from Chevella, Renuka Chwodary from Khamma and D Purandheswari from Visakhapatnam, whose fate would be sealed in the next 48 hours. Among other top contestants in the first phase, Lady Amitab, Vijayasanthi of TRS from Medak, T Devender Gowd of PRP from Malkajgiri, retired IPS officer, D T Naik, of PRP from Mahaboobabad, former Union Minister, P Shivasankar’s son, Dr P Vinay Kumar of PRP from Nizamabad, Allu Aravind of PRP from Anakapalli, Suravaram Sudhakar Reddy of CPI (Nalgonda), K Yerran Naidu of TD (Srikakulam), Surya daily editor N Suryaprakasa Rao of TD (Anakapalli), are testing their time against keen contest.

In the race for the Assembly, film star Jayasudha (Secunderabad), Assembly speaker K R Suresh Reddy (Armoor), APCC chief D Srinivas (Nizamabad Urban), Minister T Jeevan Reddy (Jagityal), Sabita Indra Reddy (Chevella) and a few others are locked in tough fight against the rivals.

The first phase will have several friendly contests by the alliance partners. The TD, TRS and the Left parties are contesting against each other at several places in defiance of the alliance. It is to be seen how these parties would be able to overcome the hurdles and win over the Congress.

Meanwhile, the NDTV survey, which was released on Monday, came in handy for the Congress leaders. Though the Telugu media downplayed the results of the NDTV survey, the pro-Congress media (Sakshi TV, Sakshi daily) tried to cash in on the results in a bid to turn the scene in its favour.

In a special interview in flight, with TV5, Chandrababu Naidu was asked to express his opinion on Chiranjeevi.

Then he immediately started saying, “I have to first explain about YSR to say about Chiranjeevi. YSR is a cruel factionist. He helps only the people those he like. He toes down the people those are not liked by him. That is very dangerous for democratic system. But Chiranjeevi is more dangerous, because, he is ‘asamardhudu’. The rule of an ‘asamardhudu’ will be more dangerous for democracy. It took 1 month for me to prepare for manifesto. It took one month for me to filed candidates. But Chiranjeevi hardly spent any time on both. Moreover he has no manifesto. He has no understanding also. His brother in law works on fielding candidates. Some other person writes script. Some other fellow reads the so called manifesto. It’s like cinema shooting in PRP”.

In fact, Chandrababu came out with his expression in very hard manner today.

AP Polls getting closer

The authorities have made all poll-related as well as security arrangements for the first phase of the poll in 154 assembly and 22 parliamentary constituencies in the Telangana region and north coastal Andhra Pradesh.

As many as 31.1 million voters in these constituencies spread over 13 districts will decide the electoral fortunes of 315 candidates for the Lok Sabha and 1,833 candidates for the assembly. Polling will be conducted in 36,124 polling stations.

In the second phase, 140 assembly and 20 parliamentary seats will go to the polls on April 23. This phase will cover 26.6 million voters in 30,427 polling stations.

The authorities have made massive security arrangements to ensure peaceful and free and fair elections. Chief Electoral Officer I V Subba Rao said 118,000 police personnel apart from 208 companies of central paramilitary forces and AP Special Police are being deployed.

Parakala Is Ramoji Rao’s Plant

There were two opinions on Parakala Prabhakar at this juncture as he jumped out from PRP and started mudslinging on it. It is said that Ramoji is the person behind Parakala’s episode. Parakala Prabhakar has been associated with ETV for quite a long time and he has very good rapport with Ramoji Rao. Parakala gained popularity with ETV and hence he is highly loyal for Ramoji Rao.

It was pre planned by Ramoji Rao to plant Parakala in PRP and later use him in support of TDP knowing the strengths and weaknesses of Chiranjeevi’s party that shows detrimental affect on TDP than another party. So, highly reliable source from Eenadu group says that even though Parakala aims at joining Congress, that’s again to do covert job for Ramoji Rao.

So, Parakala is Ramoji’s man, which means a hardcore supported of TDP.

If he can prove it, I am ready to quit the politics. I challenge him to come forward with strong evidence and prove us that our 40 BC candidates are not BCs and they belong to Upper casts.

Yuva Rajyam president Pawan Kalyan was on Monday evening rushed to a private hospital after he complained of blurring of the eyes and giddiness, during a hectic, half-day schedule of meetings here.

According to a schedule, Mr. Kalyan, accompanied by the Praja Rajyam candidate for the Secunderabad Lok Sabha seat D. Sravan, was to cover at least three segments in the constituency and address meetings in Golnaka, Ramnagar, Musheerabad, Parsigutta, Chilkalguda and Manikeswari Nagar. He addressed a gathering at Amberpet with Mr. Sravan and B. Srinivas Goud, party candidate for the Assembly segment.

The actor was proceeding towards Ramnagar when he complained of eyes blurring and giddiness. Managers of the actor-turned -politician took him to Yashoda Hospital, Secunderabad.
