Chiru gets ‘megastar’ feeling again!

chiranjeevi
For about at least two hours, Praja Rajyam Party president Chiranjeevi had gone back to his “megastar” days on Tuesday.

He was shooting for a promotional film for the PRP and with the song “Jayam Manadera…” sung by S P Balasubrahmanyam in the background, Chiranjeevi sporting the grease paint, acted with full enthusiasm, under the direction of Srinivasulu, chairman of PRP cultural wing.

Perhaps, had there been some dancing number, Chiranjeevi would have definitely danced, a journalist who attended the shooting said. After the shooting, Chiranjeevi said he felt very much nostalgic at the set. “I felt I was strongly missing the film industry. The ambience of film industry was once again before me. But, I now have a responsibility towards the people. And I have to discharge my duty,” he said.

chiru71234940938

This is the hottest news in the state that is apparently visible on the face of Chiranjeevi when he gave a statement to a news channel. His face is dull and dejected and is badly affected by the reports of CNN IBN. It is already known that CNN IBN has surveyed and reported that Chiranjeevi’s PRP would get not more than 7% of seats in 2009 elections. To read complete article on that survey click here:

Responding to this Chiranjeevi said, “I believe in that survey but what I can say is that we have picked up and gained momentum a lot than before”.

That’s the statement of Chiranjeevi where he is impliedly accepting the would-be defeat. The close circles of Chiranjeevi also said that he has shed tears involuntarily reading the details of CNN IBN survey which was coveted as the most genuine survey in India.

chiranjeevi07-11
Praja Rajyam leadership and cadre are elated by the entry of D. Vishnuvardhan Reddy to the party on the eve of Chiranjeevi’s visit to the district. Talking to reporters on Tuesday, party convener Bhuma Nagireddy said he and Mr. Vishnuvardhan Reddy had the same ilk of making sacrifice for the cause of parties. “By the time we get angry, our energies and strengths are exploited by leaders and parties,” he said. Mr. Nagireddy said Praja Rajyam would undo all the damage heaped on him so far by giving him due representation. He described Mr. Vishnuvardhan Reddy as grassroot leader who fought for his supporters. Mr. Nagireddy announced that the party would spring some more surprises before the election by roping in some more leaders of great stature. New faces The party would keep on presenting the new faces till the election and said the party alone would do social justice to the weaker sections. The PR would give a large share of seats to the weaker sections in the district, he said. PRP to win 205 MLA seats-Survey report

chiru-meet1
Actor-turned-politician Chiranjeevi is planning to field Lok Sabha candidates in Telugu-dominated areas in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Orissa and Maharashtra, where his movies draw huge crowds.
His party, the Praja Rajyam, has identified 10 LS seats in Karnataka with box office collections of Chiranjeevi blockbusters as the barometer. The party is conducting surveys in the other states to locate more constituencies where it can convert the applause of audiences into votes.
“Our candidates will contest from Mysore, Bengaluru South, Bijapur, Kolar, Gulbarga, Bellary, Chikmagalur, Raichur, Chikballapur and Chitradurga parliamentary seats in Karnataka,” said Mr Swami Naidu, Praja Rajyam leader. Interestingly, even while trying to spread its influence outside the state, the Praja Rajyam has scaled down its ambitions in AP. The party had claimed earlier that it would win more than 250 seats in the Assembly polls. In fact, Chiranjeevi’s brother-in-law, Mr Allu Arvind, went to the extent of saying that the party would win 292 seats, leaving Pulivendula for the Chief Minister, Dr Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy, and Kuppam for the TD chief, Mr N. Chandrababu Naidu.
However, on Tuesday, the Praja Rajyam leader, Mr Parkala Prabhakar, said the party would win 205 seats in the coming polls. He cited a recent survey conducted by the party as the base for the prediction, which is modest by Praja Rajyam standards.
The survey conducted in 294 constituencies revealed that the the party would win 80 seats in Telangana, 90 segments in coastal Andhra and 35 seats in Rayalaseema.
