Parakala Prabhkar faces ‘boothulu’ at press meet

Praja Rajyam Party general secretary Parakala Prabhkar, who resigned from the party on Thursday, had to face a humiliation before his exit.

After leaking the news of his resignation to the media for the last two days, Parakala came to the party office in the afternoon but there was not a single soul in the party office to take his resignation letter. Having no other way, he directly came to the press conference hall where the portraits of Ambedkar, Mother Teresa and Phule are mounted on the wall.

As soon as he started giving poses for cameramen to take the pictures of his resignation letters, some of “media persons” started shouting at him, calling a backstabber and abusing him in filthy language.

Prabhakar was stunned as he did not expect that there would be Chiranjeevi fans among media persons. He put up an embarrassing smile, even as one of the “scribes” tried to throw his chappal at him. Finally, with the intervention of the other media persons, they calmed down. It was later known that those who abused him were not scribes, but some party workers!

As expected, Praja Rajyam Party (PRP) founder member and its general secretary Parakala Prabhakar has quit the party on Thursday and made a scathing attack on the party.

Comparing the party to that of an infected tree, Prabhakar said PRP has developed into an unwanted political force.

He was addressing a media conference after submitting his resignation.

“I am quitting the party with a lot of pain because I have failed to convince the party leaders not to go on a wrong track.”

He said the motive behind starting the party seems to be something different. The rumours doing rounds about PRP are true to a large extent, Prabhakar said adding it was his duty to tell the party workers that the party is infected with poison.

“I don’t want to accuse anyone in particular for the state of affairs in the party, but I can say that PRP is like a company and I am leaving it. I am not sure PRP is a forum that is working honestly.”

Prabhakar said he was quitting the party to clean-up his mistakes, but he was not sure whether to continue in politics.

Parakala Prabhakar Resigned Tomorrow :
Parakala Prabhakar , the official spokes person of PRP has resigned for PRP primary membership and the same latter of resignation was handed over to PRP office staff in Hyd today afternoon.

Parakala surprised every one by making serious allegation on PRP from the PRP office media center.

This might come as a big blow to the Prajarajyam party but then if grapevine is to be believed, then very soon it will happen. We are talking about the two key persons in the Chiru camp who are said to be contemplating on moving out of the party since even they have not been given tickets and due respect.

They are none other than Parakala Prabhakar and Dr Mitra who were the frontal faces of the PRP party during its formation days. Reliable sources say that they are looking at having a dialogue with Jayaprakash Narayan and if talks get successful, then they will be shifting to the Lok Satta Party.

As it is, Chiru has been coming under heavy fire even from his local party supporters and all around, there is only one common allegation- ‘The tickets have been sold’. So if Parakala and Mitra move out, then one needs no better evidence to take a decision on what is happening in PRP.
