It’s ‘Prajarajyam’ in Chiru party

prajarajyam02

The so-called discipline in Prajarajyam Party ranks is in tatters. Loyal workers protesting denial of tickets to their leaders are resorting to violence, breaking furniture and setting party offices on fire.

At Kalwakurthy in Mahbubnagar district, PRP activists attacked the party office as their leader Jupalli Prabhakar Rao was not given the assembly ticket. They went on a rampage, damaging furniture and setting the PRP office on fire on Sunday.

Meanwhile, PRP Anantapur assembly candidate, T J Prakash, on Sunday lodged a complaint with district SP M K Singh that he suspected a bomb attack on his car on Saturday as his followers had heard a defeaning sound. “It could be the handiwork of those who did not get the ticket,” he said. The car, parked at his residence in Ramnagar, was in flames and his family members alerted the police.

Earlier, a group of Chiranjeevi fans had attacked the party office and set the furniture and computers on fire on Saturday afternoon in protest against denial of Anantapur assembly ticket to Rayalaseema Chiranjeevi Fans Association president A Surendra Babu.

But party sources said Prakash, a lodge owner belonging to Balija community, has been leading the district party ever since PRP was launched. “He has close contacts with Chiranjeevi family and since Balija community votes are prominent in Anantapur the party favoured Prakash,” a source said.

The PRP activists also staged a protest at Tadipatri in protest against the candidature of P Narasimhaiah for the assembly ticket. A group of dissidents are planning to field a rebel candidate from Kadiri assembly segment, sources said.

Roja Latest Comment in Chiranjeevi

roja1231247432

The Telugu Mahila chief and Chandragiri candidate, Ms R.K. Roja alleged on Sunday that the Praja Rajyam chief, Mr Chiranjeevi, had constituted a separate wing to malign her in the most heinous manner. Speaking to Deccan Chronicle, Ms Roja, campaigning at Chandragiri, said that a morphed video clipping of her was posted on the internet four days ago.
“Mr Chiranjeevi and Ms Sobharani (mahila wing chief) are jointly operating against me. A technical cell is set up to make morphed clippings of me. If he has any grudge against me, let him fight me politically. But, why does he resort to such cowardly activities?” she asked.
“People know that both he and his brother Mr Pawan Kalyan have no respect for women in their own families. They want women to lick their shoes. The PR will be routed in the coming elections. They can’t escape the ire of women.”
She said that she came to know about the morphed video a couple of days ago and would initiate criminal proceedings against the perpetrators of the act. “I will also take the matter to the notice of the EC.”

PRP offices easy targets!

chiru-meet

Praja Rajyam Party offices all over the state have become targets of disgruntled party workers, who could not get tickets in the elections.

Some of the offices in Mahbubnagar, Warangal and some other parts of the state have been set afire by the angry party workers. They were gutted within minutes, because the party offices look like film settings; made of plywood and artificial material. Why the district offices, even the PRP head office at Jubilee Hills simply looks like a cinema setting. And it doesn’t take 15 minutes to raze it to the ground, say party leaders.

No wonder, the party workers feel that there is artificiality everywhere and like in films, money matters in politics, too. That is why, they are showing their anger at the party offices!

Chiranjeevi Uses ‘Stalin Mantra’

chiranjeevi11200101071
Chiranjeevi used his most famous Stalin Mantra today in his road show. You may wonder what that mantra is. Just recall his movie ‘Stalin’ in which he preached the idea of ‘chain helping’.

He asks everyone to help any three by preaching them to help three each. That Utopian idea was preached in the film Stalin which is used by Chiranjeevi today. He asked everyone to vote for PRP and also tell three each to vote for the same. He promised that the people would see bright future by doing so.

Let us see how far this mantra works in his favor.

Prakasam Praja Rajyam Party Leaders In a dilemma

sakshitv1235545145
PRP district president and granite baron Parvathaneni Anand, too, is not certain about his seat. He wants to contest for Assembly from Ongole but faces stiff competition from Mantri Srinivasa Rao, former municipal chairman. Both of them belong to the Kapu community. The party is considering fielding Dr. Anand either from Perchoor or Darsi. Sajja Hemalatha, who hails from a political family and belongs to weaver community, is ahead in the race for ticket at Chirala. As Finance Minister K. Rosaiah opted out of direct elections and vacated his Chirala seat, the Congress announced Amanchi Krishna Mohan as its candidate for Chirala. The TDP is likely to field Janjanam Srinivasa Rao, also a weaver from Chirala, where an interesting triangular contest is on the cards. Gangada Sujata is confident of getting PRP ticket to contest from the reserved Kondepi constituency. Her husband is involved in missionary activities and she is considered financially strong. The party is also considering Chikkala Sridevi for the seat. Pidi Yugandhar and Yadala Kishore are vying for party ticket to contest from the reserved Santanutalapadu. While the TDP would leave the seat to its ally CPI(M), the Congress announced Danam Vijayakumar as its candidate for the seat. The PRP is considering Dr. Anand, Bathula Brahmananda Reddy and Sandu Purnachandra Rao for Perchoor Assembly seat to fight against Congress candidate Daggubati Venkteswara Rao and Gottipati Narsaiah of the TDP. There is stiff fight for Kandukur ticket between Pallepu Raghavulu and Kunchala Srinivas Rao, both belonging to the numerically strong Vaddera community.

Survey Shows Gap Between Cong-TDP Not That Wide

ysr_chen_chiru1237949128
Hyderabad: In a paradox of sorts, several Congress leaders want the Prajarajyam Party (PRP) to perform well in the polls on the apprehension that in case an anti-incumbency factor crops up, the Congress would benefit if the anti-Congress votes go to the PRP rather than the Telugu Desam Party.

“Therefore it is imperative that the political standing of the new party not plummet in the run-up to the elections, due to sharp internal contradictions. If it does, then all the anti-Congress votes would be transferred to the TDP which will be disastrous for the ruling party,” one Congress leader said.

According to the Congress leaders, if there is a hung assembly in which the PRP does well, the Congress can try and cajole Chiranjeevi to team up with them and form the government. “However, at this juncture, the PRP does not appear to be gaining in strength even after the announcement of the poll schedule. The Congress wants Chiranjeevi to become stronger as the campaign hots up,” the leaders said expressing happiness about the mega stars successful show in Hyderabad on the weekend.

So far, the surveys conducted by reputed agencies and others conducted on behalf of individual Congress leaders have placed the PRP in the third position after the Congress and TDP. As per the latest of these surveys, the support base for the PRP is between 19 per cent to 21 per cent of the votes. The vote share for the Congress was 41 per cent and for the TDP 36 per cent. If there is a five to six per cent swing from the PRP to the TDP, then the Congress is doomed, was the finding of a survey conducted by a resourceful Congress MP from a coastal district.

A statistical model prepared on the basis of the survey suggested that the anti-Congress votes formed a huge component of the PRP’s 19 to 21 per cent vote share. An expert who analysed the data said the “Kapus form the core support group of Chiranjeevi which is around 8 to 9 per cent while the remaining is the anti-Congress vote contributed by various social segments. These sections are prone to shift their loyalties the moment they realise that the PRP is no match to take on the Congress party,” the analyst told media. The Congress and the TDP are locked in close contests in many constituencies and a weak PRP would mar the chances of a Congress victory. It is for this reason that the ruling party wants the PRP to gain in strength in the coming days.

According to sources, the Congress had discretely told various social groups to turn out in large numbers for the PRP meeting at the Parade Grounds on March 21 and turn it into a success. Thus from the surveys point of view, Chiranjeevi appears to hold the key as to who will form the next government in the State.

‘Congress has given folks loathing for politics’

jnr_ntr_207313816
ANAKAPALLE: “People in the State have acquired a deep aversion to politics, repelled by the irregularities and corruption under the Congress dispensation,’’ declaimed Telugu Desam star campaingner NTR Jr.

Addressing a mammoth crowd at Sunkarametta and Gavarapalem junctions here Thursday, the actor said the people, particularly the poor and the farmers, were thoroughly disillusioned with the Congress party leaders.

The deaths of 6000 farmers, the exorbitant price of rice and graft in irrigation projects and in Indiramma housing spoke volumes of the state of affairs, he said.

Not mentioning any leader by name, the 26-year-old swore that the TDP would be different from all the parties that had vowed to dedicate themselves to the welfare of the people — it would actually deliver on its promises.

“And if the TDP wins, I will surely fulfil your wish — to see me slap my thighs and twirl my moustaches at the Anakapalle Centre,’’ he said and exhorted the people to mark its vote for the cycle.

Addressing the mammoth crowd at the junction near Dadi Veerabhadra Rao’s residence, he reeled out the criticisms he has been making all along on the tour: the degeneration of “Annapoorna’’ Andhra Pradesh to “Avineeti Andhra Pradesh’’ and the impact on the poor of the high price of rice. If the Congress were returned to power, the price of the staple could well triple, he said.

The actor was accompanied by party leaders Bandaru Satyanarayana, Dadi Veerabhadra Rao and his son Dadi Ratnakara Rao.
