It is being said by many that he has been ruling the roost when it comes to making decisions. As it is, his approach of selling the seats and tickets like they were movie tickets was met with a lot of criticism and moreover, his influence and impact over Chiranjeevi is something which has irked many in the PRP circles.

Inside sources reveal that it is the one-man ship that is being run by Allu Aravind and this will cause the downfall of the party. It is being said that many are waiting for the right time to strike back at Allu Aravind given his attitude and the way he has conducted things so far. So watch out folks.

Chiru PRP Manifesto Important Points
PRP Chief announced the election manifesto on Monday in a crowded conference and appealed that these are the promises made to answer people’s tough life issues and not just made for the elections alone. He also said that he finds the manifesto having great acceptance for its party will be received well and people know that it is only PRP can bring in the much in need change in the politics of the State and lives of the people.

Some of the highlights of the manifesto promises are

1. Groceries for Rs. 100/- only
2. Domestic Gas Supply
3. Interest free loans to Dwakra Group members
4. Stipend of Rs.1000/- to unemployed
5. Free power for 10 hours to the farmers
6. Pension of Rs.3000/- to all farmers who have crossed 55 years of age

With announcing a lion share of seats for the backward castes, PRP has already set tone for the objective of social justice, and this manifesto will only justify the efforts. He also assured that PRP dreams to develop the modular frame work of “Gram Swaraj”, an reference from Gandhi with collective efforts. PRP chief also faced tough questions over the top leaders leaving the party for the last 2 days with dissent and many other top leaders are about to follow the same route and the list includes Mitra, samara, Upendra and Parakala for not being given right recognition in the party and not being given tickets to contest elections.
The actor also had a close door meeting with Amar Singh and actor Sunjay Dutt of SP and speaking to the press later he said PRP and SP are interested to work together in New Delhi with an idea of setting up a new front which is equi-distant from NDA, UPA and Third Front.

After keeping his partymen and the people in suspense for several weeks, Praja Rajyam Party president Chiranjeevi at last released his party’s election manifesto on Monday.

And people who expected that Chiranjeevi would announce some astonishing schemes were disappointed thoroughly. He quietly said there was absolutely no difference between the draft manifesto and the final one – the schemes and programmes announced in the draft would continue without any changes.

Why the hell then did he delay release of manifesto for so many days? Already, the other parties have given enough publicity to their manifestos and went into the people telling what they would do. It was really surprising why Chiranjeevi did not think of any innovative schemes.

Perhaps, he was handicapped by the non-cooperation of members of manifesto committee, who were denied tickets in the elections. Neither Sivasankar nor Anjaneya Reddy was present at the release of manifesto. Only Upendra and K S R Murthy were there, but they, too, were gloomy and disappointed.

Chiru plumps for vaastu

2009032750160401_770353815

No one seems to be an exception these days when it comes to fulfilling the ‘vaastu’ sentiment or any sentiment for that matter before embarking on any major missions. That is what exactly Praja Rajyam president Chiranjeevi did on Saturday after filing his nomination for the prestigious Tirupati Assembly constituency amid a lot of glitterati.

After filing his papers, he drove straight to Jeeva Kona, a labour-dominated colony located in the north-east corner of the temple city skirting the base of the Tirumala hill range. Vaastu experts aver that the north-east corner —‘eesanya moola’ as is called in the vaastu jargon is considered the most ideal and auspicious spot to launch any major mission.

As another sentiment, Chiranjeevi’s wife Surekha who was at Tirumala on Wednesday got his nomination papers kept at the holy feet of Lord Venkateswara in the hill temple to seek the divine blessings. Even TDP president Chandrababu Naidu has reportedly done it when he visited the hill temple the same day along with his wife, Bhuvaneswari and son Lokesh.
Rally held

At Jeeva Kona on Saturday, Mr. Chiranjeevi after a brief puja in the north-east corner of the north-east colony, hopped on to his open-top vehicle and led a huge rally through the main streets signalling the start of his campaign for his election from the seat.

In fact, his decision to contest from Tirupati itself is to fulfil a sentiment meticulously practiced even by the TDP founder late N.T. Rama Rao.

Like the TDP scion N.T. Rama Rao, Mr. Chiranjeevi also is contesting from two constituencies—Palakole in his native West Godavari district and of course, Tirupati. In fact, NTR on his debut contested from three seats—Tirupati, Hindupur and Gudivada, but retained only Hindupur, relinquishing the other two.

It is to be seen which of the two seats would the PR chief retain if he wins from both Tirupati and Palakole. It would again involve a ‘sentimental’ conflict for him —whether to retain Palakole and fulfil the ‘native’ sentiment or retain Tirupati and fulfil the ‘divine’ sentiment.

Chiru keeps Pawan’s future in the hands of Journalists?

pawan_kalyan_yuvarajyam_with_megastar_chiranjeevi_9786702871

Chiru was attending press meet on 5th April in Basheerbagh, Hyderabad . A journolist asked Chiru to react on political future of Pawan.

Chiru reacted ‘ Pawan is really a nice guy, his voice in the party really brought some boost in the party cadre. Though I wanted to give him a suitable post, I am afraid of media- the media simple blames it as ‘Kutumba Paalana’. Pawan is eligible for a party post, but he is my brother, I can’t take after coming in to power, he would continue his films.’.

Chiru further said ‘ I would keep Pawan’s future in the hands of Journalists. let them decide his position in the party.’

Chiru has ignored fans: Murali Mohan

muralimohan12388218371

Rajahmundry: Actor and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) candidate for the Rajahmundry Lok Sabha seat M. Muarali Mohan has found fault actor and Praja Rajyam Party (PRP) president Chiranjeevi for neglecting fans in distribution of tickets. Reacting to developments in the PRP during a press conference on Sunday, Mr. Murali Mohan said that because of the pressure mounted by fans’ associations Mr. Chiranjeevi jumped into active politics and launched a party. “But, it is painful that they have not been taken into consideration when it came to distribution of tickets,” he said.

He reiterated that the Congress would be relegated to the third place in the elections, as the fight would essentially be between the Grand Alliance, of which the TDP is a constituent, and the PRP. Stating that Mahatma Gandhi was for winding up the Congress after achieving independence, Mr. Murali Mohan said none paid heed to his advice for personal and political gains. “Now it is more Congress (Italy),” he said. Referring to the Lok Satta Party (PRP), Mr. Murali Mohan said that as an NGO it had done commendable work. “As a party, it has no acceptance in public,” he felt. “Its founder, who was a sincere IAS officer, should have waited for another election to launch or contest the elections,” he added. He said there were a number of pending issues in his constituency that included the laying of the Rajahmundry-Bhadrachalam railway line, doubling of the line between Nidadavolu and Vijayawada via Bheemavaram.

Chiru is not happy with those Megafans -with weak character

chiranjeevi21
The Praja Rajyam chief Chiranjeevi slammed his long-time fans and friends who had left him saying, “It is better for people with such weak character to leave the party.”

He said he was pained that his long-time fans and friends were leaving him because they did not get tickets to contest the elections. He never knew politics could destroy human relations, he told a meet-the-press programme organised by the AP Union of Working Journalists.

“Those who adored me for 30 years have switched loyalties just because of denial of tickets,” he pointed out. “I call it childish. I am not angry with them.”

The PR had allotted tickets to three aspirants among fans of Chiran-jeevi. The party did not accommodate other fans as they had lacked clout among the people, he added.

Chiranjeevi, made light of the desertions, saying they were common in every party. Leaders whose views differ with the party line leave abruptly, he said. He asserted the Praja Rajyam would remain intact.

However, Chiranjeevi did express regret over the resignation of the party vice-president, Mr C. Anjaneya Reddy. “I was shocked by Mr Reddy’s exit. He is a sincere and committed leader in the party. I am ready to apologise for any wrongdoing,” he said.

That seemed to have worked, as Mr Reddy later met Chiranjeevi at the Praja Rajyam for about an hour and withdrew his resignation.

Rebutting the cash-for-seats allegations levelled against the party, Chiranjeevi said these accusations were scripted by his political rivals and they had “succeeded” in this false propaganda. He said the rail engine would remain the PR’s common poll symbol despite the objections raised by the Rashtriya Krantikari Samajwadi Party.

Women and differently-abled persons, who were not given due share of tickets, would be accommodated in the Legislative Council, he said.

Vijayashanti turns assertive

vijayashanthi_9191474951

Mulugu (Medak District): Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) candidate for Medak Lok Sabha seat, actor Vijaya shanti is slowly but surely becoming assertive during campaign on the issues close to peoples’ hearts. With her cinema glamour, she is able to move with the masses in an attempt to bridge the gap with them.

“I am hungry. Can you feed me just a handful?”, Vijaya shanti asked an old lady at Gajwel during her campaign. At another place she interacted with a farmer on issues like power supply.

Accustomed as she is with untimely meals even as a actor, Vijayashanti is on a eight hour hectic campaigning, before she breaks for lunch at odd hours and resumes her tour of villages without respite. Standing on a yellow vehicle decorated with the flags of TRS and TDP, Ms. Vijayashanti tries her hand at Telangana dialect as she addresses a gathering in an interactive mode. Prior to that she garlands the statute of B.R. Ambedkar in the centre of the village. People climb up to rooftops to have a glimpse of their new leader and one time actor.

“The Grand Alliance was formed to defeat the Congress which has cheated the people. Are you able to get the Manjira water?” she asks people and gets an answer in the negative.

She poses a volley of questions to them telling them that their right to water can be realised only if a separate State is formed. “Do not get carried away with the welfare measures of the Congress. You will be always at the receiving end. So vote for the Grand Alliance to get your right on water and land,” she tells people and moves forward.

“You have seen Vijaya shanti on screen. Has she ever surrendered to bad guys? Never. Titti Teesta (I will see their end in politics also)” she says amidst applause. After her foray, there is a rise in confidence among workers of Grand Alliance.

“We are confident that we will be winning the MP seat with a comfortable margin of more than one lakh votes,” says TRS district president M. Raghunandana Rao

KRR, Ashwini Dutt Keeping Away From Chiranjeevi

16sld2

It has often been seen that the election scenario in Andhra Pradesh has been connected with the film industry in one way or the other. This time, it took a very different degree with megastar Chiranjeevi joining politics and it has literally created several groups among the Tollywood circuit.

It is known news that ‘Mouna Muni’ K Raghavendra Rao and Ashwini Dutt have been close associates of Chiru when it comes to movies. But now, there seems to be a gap they are maintaining since both are said to be busy with few anti-Chiru stints.

There is news that songs are being prepared by them against Chiru and currently the tunes are being finalized. One of the songs goes with lyrics such as ‘Pillikkuda bichcham veyyadu…’ pointing out on Chiru’s stingy nature and also the way he makes money through his blood bank.

‘Praja RajyamParty’ has become a film production house

14
Cracks appeared in the Praja Rajyam on Saturday when its vice-president C. Anjaneya Reddy resigned from the primary membership of the party citing lack of transparency in the selection of candidates and the party being too top-heavy as the reasons. Separately, C. Venkateswara Rao, president, State Chiranjeevi Fans Association, who worked to promote the star’s image for close to two decades also announced his resignation. He told the media that his hopes of the party delivering its promise of social justice was dashed and alleged that it had become a commercial proposition – much like a film production house. Mr. Venkateswara Rao and secretary of the association B. Ganapathi later joined the Congress.

Mr. Venkateswara Rao and Mr. Ganapathi accompanied by the Krishna district unit president Yerramsetty Vittal Prasad along with their followers joined the ruling party in the presence of Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy at his camp office.

In East Godavari district, corroborating Mr. Reddy’s charge about secrecy over the choice of candidates, there was confusion in the party’s rank and file, especially aspirants, who almost came to blows in Rajahmundry. They were unable to know whether they were given the party ticket or not. Tensions have been running high among aspirants in this district, considered to be the party’s stronghold. Some groups even gheraoed Rajahmundry Lok Sabha candidate U. V. Krishnam Raju on Saturday.

In a tersely-worded letter to party president K. Chiranjeevi, Mr. Reddy said, “Please accept my resignation from the primary membership of the party with effect from today.” Asked if he had spoken to Mr. Chiranjeevi or Mr. Aravind, the former IPS officer, who was part of PR’s think tank since the beginning, said he did not wish to do so.

He admitted that he had unsuccessfully tried to contact Mr. Aravind for over a week now. “I do not wish to talk to any personal secretary,” he added, voicing out a grievance of several leaders that they do not have free access to Mr. Chiranjeevi.

He said he had never sought a ticket but only wanted to be part of a political process aimed at hitting ‘Rahu and Ketu’, meaning the Congress and the TDP. “People like me believed in the mantra of change promised by Mr. Chiranjeevi and wanted to be in a party that swore to root out corruption and usher in an improved society. I don’t see it happening,” Mr. Reddy said.
