Young Heroes Betrayed Chiru PRP?

chiru212438557381

When megastar Chiranjeevi was ruling the roost at Tollywood, there were many who used to flock around him and this also included some of the noted heroes who treated Chiru as their ‘Annayya’ and were flaunting statements that they were willing to do anything for them.

Some of the notable names are that of family star Srikanth, crazy mass masala hero Ravi Teja, super comedians Sunil and Venu Madhav. However, many in the industry now say that all those lines seem to be some eyewash as not one of them were seen doing anything for Chiru when he got into politics.

Given the cine ammunition that other political parties had, it was only Chiru and his brothers who did the canvassing for Praja Rajyam Party and none of the names mentioned gave at least one statement to support Chiru during his political journey. So the talk amongst the PRP circles and few pockets of Film Nagar is that these young actors have actually betrayed the megastar.

PRP for issue-based floor coordination

Praja Rajyam president K. Chiranjeevi on Tuesday declared that the party’s floor coordination with the other Opposition parties in the Assembly would strictly be ‘issue-based’.

He also stated that they were yet to decide on who they would support for the Speaker’s post in the Legislative Assembly. Asked if they would support the Congress nominee N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, or a possible candidate fielded by the Telugu Desam, he said the party would take a decision on Wednesday.

He was speaking to presspersons after a meeting of the Praja Rajyam Legislature Party, that included a training programme for first-time legislators, 15 of them, including the party president. The training had interactive sessions on privileges, rights and responsibilities of MLAs with senior, former legislators, including T. Devender Goud, Kotagiri Vidyadhara Rao, Kala Venkat Rao and former IAS officer KSR Murthy.
Eager for ‘real’ life role

On his feelings as he was about to enter the exalted portals of the Assembly, he was excited that he would no longer be essaying a role in ‘reel’ life.

“I am looking forward to this ‘real’ life role and live up to the expectations of the people who elected me,” he said. The Praja Rajyam president did not mince words saying film personalities elected to the Assembly had failed to deliver.

“None of those elected to this august House were able to deliver completely. I am willing to make a difference through constructive criticism without personal attacks,” he said, adding that Praja Rajyam MLAs would uphold the decorum of the House without resorting to cheap publicity.

He appointed B. Shobha Nagi Reddy (Allagadda), Ganta Srinivas Rao (Anakapalle) and Bandaru Satyananda Rao (Kothapeta) as Deputy Leaders of the party in the Assembly.

Vanga Geeta (Pithapuram) would be the party’s Whip, E. Anil (Balkonda) and Y. Ravi (Vijayawada East), secretaries, and A. Rambabu (Giddalur) treasurer.

PRP Chiru Said GHMC Elections Tour Schedule

HYDERABAD: The Praja Rajyam Party (PRP) would join hands with other parties in fighting against the Government whenever a need arises, said party president Chiranjeevi.

Speaking to the media at the party office here, he said that his party would support the schemes and activities of the Government which would help the people, but at the same time oppose tooth-andnail those which were harmful.

When asked about possible alliances with the other parties in the upcoming local body elections, Chiranjeevi said that it was too early to comment on that.

The newly elected party MLAs would be given training tomorrow in which party senior leaders and some experts from outside would enlighten them on their role in the Legislature, the PRLP leader said.
Reacting on TD president Chandrababu Naidu’s comments that his party had lost because of the PRP, Chiranjeevi advised him not to blame others for the defeat but accept it gracefully.

Meanwhile, in a meeting with the candidates of the party in the Assembly elections he urged them to work to enable the party to put up a good show in the forthcoming elections to the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation.

Likening his party to a growing tree, he said that in the last election a seed was sown, it should grow into a sapling in the local body elections, become a big tree by the next elections and match itself with the other two giants.

“In the last elections something has gone wrong. It may be due to lack of experience or electioneering skills or some tricks that are known only to other parties, whatever the reason we lost,” Chiranjeevi said.

In Olympics a number of competitive athletes participate, but only those who have the best skills will eventually win, he pointed out.
He assured that he would work with the candidates and workers for the victory of the party in the GHMC elections

PRP Chiranjeevi Rs 50 Cr Tensions

For all those who thought that megastar Chiranjeevi’s woes have ended with his party’s dismal defeat in the recent elections, then this would change their minds. Apparently, Chiru is now said to be working on a cost cutting plan along with his trusted brother in law Allu Aravind.

It is said that till the year 2014 when the next elections will happen, the budget for the normal functioning of the various party offices all over the state is said to be coming upto Rs 50 crores. Apparently, Allu Aravind is reportedly not keen on spending that much amount and even Chiru also is said to be silent. Even the party members are also not willing to shell out money from their pockets to run offices.

Now, PRP sources are revealing that the senior management is planning to scrap all offices and continue at only their Krishna Nagar and Jubilee Hills. If this happens, then many predict that by the time 2014 comes, Praja Rajyam Party will be nothing less than a board and a building.

Chiru gives Lord a miss, PRP men upset

chiru-temple1
The decision of Prajarajyam Party chief Chiranjeevi to skip Lord Venkateswara’s darhsan despite his overnight stay in the temple town, did not go well with the citizens and his party workers here.

“Unless we have the blessings of Lord Venkateswara nothing will work out whomsoever it may be,” a local PRP leader not wanting to be named sighed. Many Chiranjeevi fans and party workers said they were hurt that their leader didn’t bother to have a darshan of the Lord after filing the nomination papers for the Tirupati assembly seat on Saturday.

When some fans kicked up a furore on Sunday, local party leaders tried to assuage their feelings by saying that the matinee idol had suffered a sunstroke! “We had purchased the darshan tickets but he preferred to take rest as he became very tired due to hectic roadshow schedule in the sweltering heat,” a party insider told TOI.

Expressing surprise over the star politician’s behaviour, a senior PRP leader said: “Chiranjeevi refused to go for darshan late on Saturday night or on Sunday morning as he wasn’t very particular about it.” The leader continued: “We are aware of the negative impact TDP founder N T Rama Rao and former PM Indira Gandhi suffered when they skipped the darshan following their busy schedules. We just hope our leader doesn’t face the ignominy of losing the polls.”

Sources said the people and party workers attach a great importance to the Lord sentiment. “More so, since it’s election time. We wish the PRP chief doesn’t invite Lord Balaji’s wrath,” said a BJP leader on condition of anonymity.

Meanwhile, actor-turned-politician Nandamuri Balakrishna, who had also skipped darshan of Lord Venkateswara during his three-day tour of Chittoor district, landed in Tirumala late on Saturday night and had darshan in the early hours of Sunday.

He came rushing from Kadapa where he was conducting roadshows and had the darshan. It is learnt that district TDP leaders prevailed upon Balakrishna and told him about the ill-effects his late father faced when he skipped the darshan of the Lord.

Chiranjeevi sends shivers to YSR-CBN in Praja Vijaya Bheri. Starts Poll Campaign.

praja_vijayabheri_hyd
Praja Rajyam President Padmabhushan Dr. Chiranjeevi on Saturday the 21st March 2009 sent shivers into the hearts of the opponents by beating the ‘Vijaya Bheri’ a huge drums at a record gathering in Secunderabad Parade Grounds.

This symbolized an official declaration of war against Corruption, Nepotism and misrule.

“They should come and see this gathering. If all of you breathe out once, they will be swept off in a torrent. Heeding my call in just 4-5 days, you have turned up in massive numbers here. Can’t the other parties see and hear this,” the PRP chief said at a massive ‘Praja Vijayabheri’ that marked the launch of PRP’s election campaign at the Parade Grounds here on Saturday evening.

During his one-hour speech, Chiranjeevi reacted to the Congress announcing its list of candidates for the Lok Sabha and assembly by saying that only the PRP can ensure social justice. “After us, all the other parties are speaking of social justice. Then how come the Congress has so few BCs as its candidates? In Chief Minister Y S Raja Sekhar Reddy’s native Kadapa district, could they not find a single BC candidate from there?” he questioned and said the same will be the situation with the Maha Kootami.

Holding placards that said ‘Maarpu’ which means Change, the crowd listened to his speech and applauded as he acknowledged his gratitude to them. “When I entered the film industry, I had to brave insults and humiliations. I was first recognised by you and then only by the film industry. Today, I have your love, affection and support. This is what will drive me,” he said.

TDP MLA Kothapalli Subbaraidu from Narasapuram in West Godavari joined the party on the occasion.

The meeting was attended by all the top brass of PRP like Hari Rama Jogayya, Allu Aravind, Parvathaneni Upendra, C.Rama Chandrayya, Devender Goud, Peddi Reddy, Kala Venkat Rao, K.S.R.Murthy,Pawan Kalyan,Vanga Geetha, Shobha Rani, Vasireddy Padma,Parakala Prabhakar,Tammineni Sitaram, Katti Padma Rao, Anjaneya Reddy and many others.

Unfortunately, due to the high price there are very few masks were seen in the ground. Party should extend some subsidy and the aspirants should bear some more and distribute the masks to the common public at a price band of Rs 50/- to Rs 100/-

Though it was announce that the meeting starts at 3:00 PM, it was delayed by 2 hours. Then the speeches were started by Jalli Siddayya followed by Shravan, Shobha Rani, Naga Babu, Vasireddy Padma, Katti Padma Rao, Enagala Peddi Reddy, Pawan Kalyan, Toola Devender Goud, Parakala Prabhakar and few more.

There were some scintillating folk dance performances, which attracted tremendous response from the crowds. At times the crowd also participated in the folklore.

The Vijaya Bheri seems to be a real Bheri which was used in the olden days. When Chiranjeevi started beating the drums along with Tupakula Munemma, Aruna Tara and Sayed Humayun, it sent shivers into the opponent’s camps. The war declared open. And it is not only the drums but the huge crowd that filled the entire Pared Grounds might leave sleepless nights to Chandra Babu and YSR.

The entire Parade Grounds were took a festive look with several cut-outs of Chiranjeevi, Pawan Kalyan, Allu Aravind, Naga Babu, Devender Goud and hot air balloons released by many ticket aspirants and specially there was a ‘Prabha’ which was illuminated by colorful lamps. The fire balloons released in the night were a special attraction. They adorned the Hyderabad skies like twinkling stars.

praja-rajyam
Chiranjeevi speaking at the Praja Vijayabheri today said that the congress party and the TDP were neck deep in corruption. Chiru said that both Babu and YSR were hand in glove and looted public money at will.

In public, Babu an YSR may give an impression of being sworn enemies but in the evening they both meet and shake hands and celebrate.

Chiranjeevi said that if he is made the chief minister, he will initiate criminal action against Babu an YSR and bring them to book

PR will give over 100 seats to BCs: Chiru

chiru-party-meeting2
Praja Rajyam president K. Chiranjeevi has said that by giving party tickets to only 66 candidates from the backward classes, Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy stood exposed.

At a press conference on Sunday, he said after crying hoarse that the list of candidates prepared by the Congress would truly reflect the party’s sincerity towards implementing social justice, people expected him to ensure that at least 100 seats were allotted to the BCs.

However, the Congress ended up giving 138 seats to the forward classes, including 87 to those from one single community (Reddys), he said, reminding the Chief Minister of the unanimous resolution passed in the Assembly in August 2008 that all parties must give one-third of the tickets to the BCs.

“The Praja Rajyam will not go back on its promise of ensuring social justice, by giving over 100 seats to the BCs,” Mr. Chiranjeevi reiterated, demanding that Dr. Reddy should quit office for not keeping his word.

Referring to the large turnout at party’s rallies in Tirupati, Rajahmundry and at the Parade Grounds here on Saturday, he said it was proof of the party’s popularity across all three regions. “There is a silent revolution happening and the day is not far, when people will vote for change and for social justice,” he said.

He shook his head in response to a query whether Praja Rajyam would ally with the TRS, with reports of the latter likely to break away from the Grand Alliance. “The time for talks is over. Members of the alliance want the world to know they are united, but fact is, they have their individual agenda.”

Asked about the search for a common symbol, Mr. Chiranjeevi said he was prepared to wait till the last minute for it. “We have furnished proof of our large membership and we are hopeful of justice being done by the EC. Otherwise too, we have our alternate plans,” he said.
