Hyderabad, Aug 22 (IANS) Four days before he formally launches his political party, Telugu film star and wannabe-politician Chiranjeevi Friday celebrated his 54rd birthday quietly with his family.

After a three-decade-long film career, he proposes to launch Aug 26 his yet unnamed party at a public meeting in the temple town of Tirupati. He announced his entry into politics Sunday, saying he was dedicating his life to serving the people.

Not sure whether he would find time for the family later, the actor preferred to celebrate his birthday at his house in the upmarket Jubilee Hills here. He spent the day with his mother Anjana Devi, wife Surekha and other family members.

In sharp contrast, his supporters and fans celebrated the day with much fanfare.

A large number of them gathered outside his house and at the party office to greet him.

Chiru, as he is popularly known, had appealed to his fans across the state not to reach Hyderabad to greet him and instead take up social work and plant trees in their respective towns and villages.

Responding to his call, fans’ associations organised meals for the poor, health check-up camps, blood donation camps and distributed fruits among patients at various hospitals besides planting trees.

The fans also cut huge cakes, took out processions and organised free screening of some films of the actor.

In Visakhapatnam, Chiranjeevi’s fans cut a 53-kg cake, burst firecrackers and raised slogans hailing his entry into politics.

The celebrations in Vijayawada triggered tension when fans of popular actor Mahesh Babu took exception to the removal of his cut-out by Chiru’s fans. One person was injured in the resulting clash between the two groups.

Mahesh Babu, son of veteran actor and former Congress MP G.S. Krishna, celebrated his birthday earlier this month amid speculations that he would campaign for the ruling Congress party in next year’s elections.

Meanwhile, Chiranjeevi’s fans have stepped up efforts to mobilise huge crowds for the Aug 26 meeting at Tirupati, where the actor would announce the name of his party and its agenda.

Though his fans were expecting that he would launch the party on his birthday, he preferred to do it on the birth anniversary of Mother Teresa, whom he described as his source of inspiration.

Chiru is already engaged in social service and runs a blood and eye bank here and his fans hope to see him as the next chief minister.

He has a huge fan following, comparable to thespian N.T. Rama Rao, who had taken the state politics by storm by floating Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in 1982. NTR had come to power within nine months of launching the party.

Born on Aug 22, 1955 in Mogalturu, a small village in the coastal district of West Godavari in the family of an excise constable, Chiru was christened Konidela Siva Shankara Varaprasad.

After graduating in commerce, he began his film career in 1978 – when he renamed himself Chiranjeevi – and carved out a niche for himself with his image of an action hero. He acted in 147 films and churned several blockbusters including those with social message.

Chiru bagged various awards for his acting, his contribution to Telugu cinema and social service. He was also awarded Padma Bhushan in 2006.

Known to be a sensitive and kind-hearted man, Chiru Thursday admitted a physically challenged person as the first member of his party. ‘I will be the second member,’ he said.

Story:

Much awaited Magadheera has arrived. Its trailers, audio, posters has made audience wait for this movie with lots of enthu. Rajamouli has once again hit the chord with the audience and this time with Ram Charan Teja. Finally, here it goes…

The story starts with the present where Harsha( Ram Charan) is a energetic lad who earns money on bike races and bets . When he accidently touches Indu(Kajal Agarwal) , things move to the past which is a delight to watch .

The story moves to 1609 A.D. where Kala Bhairava (Ram Charan) is the cheif protector/trainer and great warrior of the Udayghad Kingdom . Mitra (Kajal Agarwal),the hier princess falls in love with Kala Bhairava . Obviously, there will be a villain in every love story .The relative and the Senadhipathi Randheer (Dev Gil) also lusts for princess Mitra and tries to separate her from Kala Bhairava. As a result of this, the big fight wages between Kala Bhairava and Randheer and in this process they will end up their lives. Mean while Sher Khan (Srihari) plans to invade Udayghad and before the lovers die , he will witness the love of Kalabhairava and Mitra.

Now the story comes to present, Harsha (Ram Charan) happens to touch the hand of Indu(kajal) on a rainy day and falls in love with her. Randev is born again as Indu’s relative. Rest of the story is about how they will come to know the past and how they will end the story. This should be definitely watched in theatres.

The whole credit of the movie should be given to RajaMouli . It is not easy to take films like this and he has done a very great job .

Performances:

Ramacharan has arrived with this film . His performance in Chiruta was bit immature and in this film he has showed that he can do big roles too . He carried his role with ease and showed good amount variation in his both characters . His macho look as Kala Bhairava was a delight to watch . His dance steps were really amazing , particularly in Bangaru Kodi petta Song . He has kept a lot of hard work in to the role and it really payed him off.

Kajal Agarwal was stunningly beautiful and was the right choice of the film . The role of the princess suited her well . She did a good job to her role .

Dev Gil(villain) has done his job well . His role in the past suited him well , his emotional scenes could have been better .

Srihari comes in a short , but powerful role . His Sher Khan role adds good value to the film and as ever his dialogue delivery is superb. Rao Ramesh is good as Aghora . Sunil , Sarath Babu , Brahmanandam did there part well . Mumaith Khan and Kim Sharma did item songs in the movie .

Technical Aspects Leaving the performances aside, the technical values of the movie were stunning to watch . Telugu Industry has very few films of this level . This is the second film in this year(First being Arundathi) that had such great graphics and visual grandeur . The cinematography added great value to film . All of the technical staff should be appreciated with out leaving anyone .

Background score was neat .Songs were good to watch on screen . The music was the backbone for the movie . Lyrics written by Chandrabose were really good .

HighLights :

* Visual treat in many scenes of the movie
* Stunning art work carried out to portray Udaigadh city of 1609AD
* Horse coming back to help the hero
* Fight between 100 soldiers of Sher Khan and Kalabhairava
* Dheera Dheera song , great picturization
* Ram Charan Teja Acting being the highlight

The initial 30 minutes of the movie looks slow , but picks up later and engages the audience very well . I dont say the film is 100 percent perfect . But as all Rajamouli movies , this movie too could be improved further . The commercial elements are in place and are apt . All together a great film for the telugu audience .

This is one film that should be watched in the theater with a good sound system . Go and watch it

Allu Aravind Playing With Ram Charan And Allu Arjun

allu-ram1241561945

If there is one thing that people in public life want to guard, it is their image. Money could be lost and regained but image once lost cannot be regained. No wonder when a hero like Chiranjeevi started a party he was banking on his clean and upright image. But the spoke in the wheel of PRP has always been Allu Arvind. The man has apparently made a serious dent in this image by making a business of selling tickets to aspirants in the PRP party.

Thanks for all this hanky-panky business from Allu Aravind, the image of Chiranjeevi and the image of scions of that family has taken an irreparable damage.

Big producers within Tollywood now do not want to work with Allu Arjun and Ram Charan Teja because of the bad image that Allu Arvind has created with his craving for quick money.

Analysts feel that the careers of the young guns would be affected in the future because of Allu Arvind.

Arvind dares Dasari for a fight

alluarvind1240253435
The Praja Rajyam general secretary and Chiranjeevi’s brother-in-law, Mr Allu Aravind, on Monday challenged the Congress MP and veteran film director, Mr Dasari Narayana Rao, to take up poll campaign in Palacole segment, if the latter had guts to do so.

Since the PR chief, Chiranjeevi, is contesting from Palacole, Mr Aravind dared Mr Dasari to campaign against the matinee idol in that segment.

Chiranjeevi’s brother-in-law, on Monday hit out at the Congress leader.

Speaking to scribes at the PR headquarters in Hyderabad, Mr Aravind said Mr Dasari had harboured a personal grudge against Chiranjeevi, who attained stardom in the Tollywood.

“Mr Dasari is jealous of Chiranjeevi’s success in Tollywood. Mr Rao doesn’t want anybody from his own community to succeed. So, Mr Dasari is now waging negative campaign against the PR chief,” Mr Aravind said.

It may be recalled here that Mr Rao, who is campaigning for the success of the Congress, ridiculed Chiranjeevi’s aim to become the Chief Minister of the state by saying, “The Chief Minister’s post is not a seat in the barber shop.”

Mr Aravind said neither the Chief Minister, Dr Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy, nor the Telugu Desam chief, Mr N. Chandrababu Naidu, had credibility among the people.

Allu Aravind slams TDP, Congress

allu3-and-ramcharan1
Praja Rajyam (PR) general secretary Allu Aravind gave up the party’s much-practised ‘Gandhigiri’ on Monday and slammed the Congress and the Telugu Desam for conspiring to deny the fledgling party the political space it deserved.

Mr. Aravind told a press conference here that people had watched in the course of 14 years of power between the two parties that all that the Assembly witnessed were allegations and counter-charges. “But was any single allegation proved and taken to its logical conclusion?” he asked. He said people had exercised their franchise in favour of PR during the first phase and appealed to voters to do so in phase two. .

Uphill task for Allu Aravind

alluarvind12385964951
ANAKAPALLE: Notwithstanding Praja Rajyam president Chiranjeevi’s charisma, his brother-in-law and film producer Allu Aravind finds it an uphill task to win the Anakapalle Lok Sabha seat.
Aravind, who is new to the constitutency, is banking solely on the PRP contestants in all the seven Assembly segments which constitute his Lok Sabha constituency.
But owing to several factors, in five of the Assembly segments it is neck-and-neck and in two segments he is in the third position.
Pitted against him is Sabbam Hari of the Congress, who is known for his astuteness in poll management.
The TDP has fielded N Suryaprakasa Rao with the support of CPI and CPM.
The contest is mainly between the Congress and the PRP in the Anakapalle, Yelamanchili, Chodavaram, Madugula and Narsipatnam Assembly segments, and between the Congress and the TDP in the Pendurty and Payakaraopeta segments where the PRP is trailing the two major parties.
The PRP is banking on the social justice plank. Its district convener and Anakapalle Assembly contestant Ganta Srinivasa Rao is co-ordinating with various groups in all the Assembly segments.
“We are not familiar with the candidates of Congress, PRP and TDP who are seeking election to the Lok Sabha. All are new faces. But we know Chiranjeevi and why should we not give a chance to him?’’ asks a group of women in Kotturu village in Anakapalle mandal. They, however, point out that regardless of which party wins there is no improvement in their living standards.
In Kasimkota manadal, support to the PRP is visible. When asked about the candidate, AMAL College student Padala Aruna, housewife Rapeti Suryalakshmi and farmer A Nuka Raju said they would vote for the PRP candidate not because they knew him but because they were the fans of Chiranjeevi.
In the Yelamanchili Assembly segment, there is a mixed response to the Congress and PRP. The TDP is in the third position here. People here say openly that they will cast their vote for sitting MLA and Congress nominee Kanna Babu. “We will vote for the Congress in the Assembly election and for Chiranjeevi’s party in the Lok Sabha election,’’ N Nageswara Rao and D Apparao Naidu said. Surprisingly, in Munagapaka mandal several women said they did not know about Allu Aravind but would nevertheless vote for him because of Chiranjeevi. “ Not only is he the mega Star but he is also our man (caste),’’ said farmers K Nagalakshi and R Durga.
Though the youth are supporting PRP, others are openly expressing their solidarity with the Congress, Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy in particular. Interestingly, the Congress has not been winning this seat in the last five elections.
Sitting MLA and TDP leader Chengala Venkat Rao is contesting again. Women in Payakaraopet and Nakkapalli mandals said that they got houses, rice at Rs 2 a kilo, pensions and medical care under the Rajiv Arogya Sri scheme.
Karri Surya Rao and Abdul Khadir, farmers from Nakkapalli mandal, said that as they were enjoying a lot of sops from the Rajasekhara Reddy Government, it was time to express their thanks by voting for the Congress. Candidates’ profiles were immaterial as the election was being held among Rajasekhara Reddy, Chandrababu Naidu and Chiranjeevi, they summed up.
In Narsipatnam, the TDP’s stronghold, TDP and PRP are neck and neck. Though the Congress has a strong candidate here, the fight is mainly between the TDP and PRP.
People in all the Assembly constituencies rue the fact that all the three main candidates _ Sabbam Hari, N Suryaprakasa Rao and Allu Aravind _ are outsiders. A group of women (I Lakshmi, Sattemma, Satyavani and Nookalu, all are illiterate and agricultural labourers of Sabbavaram) said they would go by the party’s election symbol not the individual candidate. When asked about their choice they said though they liked Chiranjeevi as an actor they had not decided yet on whom to vote for.

Allu Aravind Down Down Everywhere In PRP

alluarvind1236322749

He might be one of the most successful movie makers in the Telugu circuit and his strategies never fail when it comes to revenue but then that’s all there is to this man. He is none other than Allu Aravind and right now, he is said to have become the most despised man in the PRP camp.

It is being said by many that he has been ruling the roost when it comes to making decisions. As it is, his approach of selling the seats and tickets like they were movie tickets was met with a lot of criticism and moreover, his influence and impact over Chiranjeevi is something which has irked many in the PRP circles.

Inside sources reveal that it is the one-man ship that is being run by Allu Aravind and this will cause the downfall of the party. It is being said that many are waiting for the right time to strike back at Allu Aravind given his attitude and the way he has conducted things so far. So watch out folks.

Allu Aravind’s Rs 2 Cr Demand Revealed

alluarvind1238596495

The tales of Allu Aravind seem to be reaching new frontiers with each passing day. Recently, the news is about Undi constituency of West Godavari.

PVL Narasimha Raju resigned from the Congress party in the hope of joining megastar Chiranjeevi and then he went to join the Praja Rajyam Party. He has got very good track record of serving poor and needy in his area. He has built schools, hospitals and many other facilities in his constituency being a district level Congress leader. But Raju’s intention was to get an assembly ticket for the Undi constituency from PRP and he was positive that he would win. The local people are also behind Raju for conferring a winning garland on him.

However, all his aspirations got splashed when Aravind demanded Rs 2 Cr from Raju. Raju was said to be helpless since he did not expect that kind of demand. But there is no compromise in that demand and hence he had to bend for the situation. Hence Raju shunned buying ticket. That way another possible winner may have just been removed from the list of Praja Rajyam. The ticket has gone to some other candidate.
