Komaram Puli is an upcoming Telugu action film directed by S. J. Suryaah, who previously directed Kushi. The film stars Pawan Kalyan in the lead role as a cop, with Nikisha Patel, playing the lead female role as superident of police, Manoj Bajpai, Charan Raj, Nassar, Jyothi Krishna, Bhrahmaji, Ali and Girish Karnad in supporting roles and Shriya Saran appearing in an item number. The film, featuring music by Academy Award Winner A. R. Rahman, is produced by Singanamala Ramesh on a Rs. 40 crore budget and would be distributed by Allu Aravind of Geetha Arts. The film is slated for a release in August 2010.

Pawan Kalyan’s Komaram Puli has been in the making for quite some time and yet, only 40% is complete. This is really disappointing news for Pawan’s fans, who were expecting the film to be released in April. At this rate, industry sources say that there is little chance for the film to hit theatres in April. Unfortunately, even Puli’s director S.J. SJ Surya is the director of Pawan Kalyan’s Komram Puli. He is the hero in Telugu dubbed Tamil film Vyapari which is releasing on 11th July.
Surya has taken a sensational decision and he was speaking to media today said ‘ Komaram Puli is the last film me as director and I want to concentrate on acting after this film. It is more than 10 years from as a director and now I want to completely move in as full time actor’.
Surya has already worked as hero in 5 Tamil films. And he is planning to remake the Komaram Puli in Tamil where Surya himself would be the hero.
