Veteran Malayalam film actor, director, and screenwriter Kochin Haneefa was in a critical stage at a private hospital. Haneefa died at Chennai on 2 February 2010 after being diagonised with chronic liver cancer.
He was started his career in the 1970′s as a villain and turned to be one of most the popular comedians of Malayalam film industry
. He has done more than 300 films in Malayalam, Tamil and Hindi. As a filmmaker he was critically acclaimed for the melodrama Valtsalyam (1993).
