1st IPR Researchers’ Confluence on Spearheading IPR in India – An Agenda for Research
With the world order transitioning from industrial revolution to knowledge based revolution, innovation in organisations have become the primary driver of sustenance and success. In such a dynamic system dictated by the technological revolution and apabilities, emerging economies are saddled by the pressures of a bulging yet polarized global world order towards the IPR system. Keeping this in mind, SJMSOM, IIT Bombay is hosting the 1st IPR researchers’ confluence spread over two days on December 21, 22 2009.

Research Colloquium
Day one of this confluence hosts a research colloquium on the lines of a doctoral colloquium, wherein – researchers, faculty, students come together to discuss their research activities and results. The colloquium is designed to be in the form of focus groups where expert feedback will be available. The nature of the submissions can vary across the legal, economics, strategy and management components of IPR.
IPR Research Roadmap Preparation
Day 2 hosts a series of invited papers and panel discussions on IPR – Education and Research focus in India – both from the legal and management perspective.
A novel attempt towards the preparation of the IP roadmap is designed in this confluence All the participants will be divided into groups for the two days. These groups will reassemble on the last afternoon post the lectures, interactions and discussions to pool their thoughts and come up with the roadmap to be presented.
