TRS bandh cripples coastal Andhra Pradesh | big loss for andhra pradesh government due to bandh
Telangana Rashtra Samithi’s (TRS) 48-hour bandh has incurred a huge loss to the coastal areas of East Godavari, West Godvari and Viskhapatnam.
While transport organisations, farmers, business establishments incur losses, passengers faced troubles due to cancellation of bus services by both State and private bus operators towards Hyderabad and Telangana areas.
A spokesman of the Andhra Pradesh Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) told PTI that over 99 per cent buses were cancelled from this region and buses leaving from Visakhapatnam [ Images ], Rajahmundry, Amalapuram, Ramachandrapuram, Kakinada to Hyderabad and other Telangana areas were cancelled and passengers faced problems.
Even ticket reservations to Hyderabad were cancelled due to the bandh. APSRTC runs over 100 buses daily from Visakhapatam, Rajahmundry, Kakinada and other coastal areas to Hyderabad.
The South Central Railway (SCR) trains from the coastal Andhra left with least passengers as most of the passengers cancelled their reservation, a spokesman of SCR said.
Rosaiah’s appeal
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister K Rosaiah called on fasting Telangana Rashtra Samiti president K Chandrasekhara Rao at the NIMS in Hyderabad late Sunday night and appealed him to end his fast.
However, the former union minister who has been on a fast for the past seven days refused to heed and said he would continue his fast till a favourable decision on Telangana was announced.
The chief minister was accompanied by former union minister Ajit Singh and state Health Minister Danam Nagender.
The Telangana movement has a history of 50 yrs and will continue till a separate state is formed. The main reasons for Telanga are (a) Ill treatment of Telangana people by Andhra people in the Telangana region (b) Illegal taking away of government jobs by Andhra people (c) Insulting Telangana culture and language by various means
It is because of the insulting treatment of Telangana people by the Andhra people, I am confident that, Telangana is going to be formed one day or the other.
The Andhra region people should understand that, the sooner the formation of the Telangana state, the better is for the people of both the regions.

If ap is to be divided, it may have to be made into 5 states. Namely, hyderabad, telangana, uttara andhra, andhra, rayalseema. this is what it is seen for now. later on, the number may increase. can anyone give assurance that there wont be any more such demands in future in these 5 states or for that matter whole country.
If separated, it will be a bad precedent. tomorrow someone will ask centre to declare their state as a separate country. Is it possible.
Best solution is educate people, gain their support and get their problems solved by demanding them from state govt or centre.
Poor TRS failed in this department several times and to cover for their past mistakes of not agitating on peoples issues, they provoked students and want to get their demand of separate state met. Irt is foolishness.
