Maker of big time hits like ‘Bala Ramayanam’, ‘Sogasu Chuda Tharama’, ‘Manoharam’, ‘Okkadu’ and ‘Arjun’, Guna Sekhar is now set to start his upcoming venture starring Allu Arjun in the lead cast.

Allu Arjun has a considerable number of hits under his belt including ‘Desamuduru’, ‘Happy’, ‘Arya’ and ‘Parugu’ with a famous title as style star. With both of them coming together, the movie should have a tight script to justify the amalgamation.

DVV Danayya produces the film on Universal Media banner. Sources have revealed that the film will start shooting from March 21st.

Looks like Telugu Mahila president Roja does not want to relent on her attack on Praja Rajyam Party, but wants to prolong the controversy.

Roja told mediapersons on Saturday that she was not going to leave PRP president Chiranjeevi and his brother Pavan Kalyan so easily. “It was Chiranjeevi who scripted the dialogues of Mahila Rajyam president Sobha Rani. The entire attack on me with filthy comments was masterminded by Chiranjeevi. He is a great actor even in real life. I am not going to spare him till he apologises,” she said.

Roja, however, expressed regrets over her remarks against Pavan Kalyan’s wife Renu Desai. She said she did not make the comments intentionally, but did it in a fit of emotion, while reacting to Sobha’s comments.

Well, the battle is still on!!

None of the top three political parties are sure as what would be the fate of their parties in the coming elections; one should say that these elections are the most unpredictable ones in the history of the state.

The Congress has to face the anti incumbency fact and added to this is its bad record as the most corrupt government, the TDP on the other hand realizes that it is fighting the might of a financially powerful Congress, the PRP meanwhile is a confused lot, they are playing a blind game in the hope of a win.

At the end of it all three parties and their political bosses know that the result would be difficult to predict and whatever would be the result they would have to accept it.

Vamana Rao from the Visakhapatnam East Assembly constituency in the forthcoming elections. General secretary J. Venkateswarlu, working president V.S.V.G. Seshagiri Rao, Archaka Sangham leader I.S. Dikshithulu and others, at a press conference here on Friday, said that Mr. Vamana Rao was young and service-minded leader who had been a trade union leader in the municipal corporation for over two decades. “He has chosen PRP and we appeal to that party to nominate him to contest the Visakhapatnam East seat. Our community will fully support him,” they said.

Praja Rajyam Party (PRP) president Chiranjeevi today said that his party would fulfil all the constitutional formalities that were required to carve out a separate Telangana State. Addressing a meeting after T Devender Goud’s Nava Telangana Party (NTP) formerly merged with PRP, Chiranjeevi described the Telangana aspiration as a “self-respect” issue. He blamed political parties for raising the question only for votes and seats and said their machinations had driven T into “intensive care”. Chiraneevi vowed to deliver social justice to Telangana, but entered a caveat on statehood: “It is the Centre which should cede Telangana. The PRP will bring pressure and help fulfill all the formalities needed for the formation of a separate T-State.” Likening the creation of separate State to a grown-up setting up a family of his/ her own, Chiranjeevi recalled: “After my brothers grew up, they started living separately. My intimacy with my brothers has since increased — we meet frequently and there is a greater exchange of views than before.” Noting with satisfaction that a seasoned politician like Devender Goud had reposed faith in him, Chiranjeevi announced that the former would coordinate the efforts to be taken in Delhi to realise a separate State. Faulting the Telangana Rashtra Samithi for joining the Grand Alliance, Chiranjeevi pointed out that the PRP had offered more seats to TRS than had been given it by the alliance. “TRS chief K Chandrasekhara Rao even praised me for describing the T-issue as a question of self-respect. I do not know why Rao joined the Grand Alliance,” he said. The TRS needed to explain why it had joined a body of which one constituent, the CPM, is openly against the formation of Telangana. The TDP which had forcefully pushed the “United Andhra” slogan in the 2004 elections had changed its stand for the sake of power, the PRP founder noted. The Telangana region was neglected during the TDP regime, he added, and this had only fuelled the demand for separation. Chiranjeevi said both Chandrasekhara Rao and Chandrababu Naidu lacked commitment and credibility on T. For his part, Devender Goud exuded confidence that PRP would bring about social justice. Reposing trust in Chiranjeevi striving for Telangana statehood, Goud said he would “work as a soldier” in the PRP. Erstwhile NTP leader E Peddi Reddy and several PRP leaders, including P Sivasankar, were present.

Chiranjeevi PRP symbol plan to be hard pick

The Praja Rajyam’s proposal to field its candidates on the election symbol of any recognised party if it is denied a common symbol, has amused politicians. Legal and political analysts feel that it is a crazy idea which will create a lot of problems for the PR constitutionally and politically. The percentage of polled votes will go into the account of the recognised party and not the PR. Hence, the PR will not be recognised by the EC, even if it puts up a good show by implementing this plan. Interestingly, if the PR’s candidates contest the elections on the symbol of any recognised party, then the B-forms will have to be issued by the president of that party. All the candidates who might win the contest will be treated as members of that recognised party and not the PR. As a result, the Praja Rajyam will have to start all over again during the next elections to get the EC’s recognition for a common symbol. Even if all the elected members take membership in the PR after the elections, the EC rules do not permit a common symbol for such a political party. “The PR leadership might be considering the possibility of fielding its candidates on the symbol of a recognised party unmindful of the legal and political repercussions,” said a top official in the Election Commission on condition of anonymity. When this newspaper contacted the chief electoral officer in the state, Mr I.V. Subba Rao, he declined to comment on the issue as Chiranjeevi’s plan was not clear.

Praising Chiranjeevi’s leadership, Praja Rajyam Party district convener Arepalli Naga Ramesh said on Friday that the party would make corruption prevalent in the present Congress rule as the main issue in the elections. Addressing his maiden press conference, Mr. Ramesh said that the people had lost faith in the Congress leaders because of their indifference to general problems while getting involved in corruption everywhere. He said that the greed and corruption of ruling party leaders would lead to their party’s rout in the coming elections. Mr. Ramesh asserted that Praja Rajyam Party would win all the 16 Assembly segments in Krishna district, as huge support was coming forth from all segments of society.

Praja Rajyam Party chief Chiranjeevi is sharpening his attack on the ruling Congress party ahead of approaching elections. Chiru has described the so-called “Jala Yagnam” of the ruling Congress party as just “Jalagala Yagnam” (an yagnam of leeches). The PRP leader said that the Congress party used irrigation projects to rob State’s money just like leeches would suck blood from animals. Chiru continued his road shows in the State when he made no-holds-barred attack on the Congress and the Grand Alliance parties. Chiru posed a question straight to YS to clarify whether any one place in the State had drawn some benefit out of Jala Yagnam. He said that thousands of crores of rupees were spent, but most of it went into the pockets of ruling party leaders while projects were still in a bad shape. Chirus Social Justice Plank and Corrupt free Govt is gathering lot of Public Movement. In a Surprising note JayaPrakash narayan of Loksatta Party today released as Press note On Social justice. So one need not be surprised if Loksatta wants to have Alliance with PRP.

Chiru Family To launch TV News Channel

HYDERABAD: Claiming that the media is not giving due coverage to Prajarajyam president Chiranjeevi, the star-turned-politician’s family has decided to launch their own Telugu news channel. Final touches are being given to the ‘Maa News’ channel and it will start beaming by Ugadi, sources in the party said.

The Chiranjeevi family already has a minority stake in ‘Maa TV’, and the news channel of the same name will be completely owned and run by the megastar’s family. The licence for the news channel was secured almost a year ago and the owners of ‘Maa TV’ have no objection in leasing it to the Chiru family, the sources said. The new channel will operate from the ‘Maa TV’ building in Panjagutta. According to the sources, Chiranjeevi was prompted to launch a news channel after realising that the existing local channels are not giving adequate coverage to his political campaigns and roadshows across the state. ETV is identified with the TDP. And chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy has got his son Jaganmohan Reddy running the ‘Sakshi TV’ channel and the multi-edition daily newspaper ‘Sakshi’. When it comes to Prajarajyam, the news channels are limiting themselves to showing few second clips of Chiranjeevi and Pavan Kalyan. Therefore, we have decided to start a news channel which will project Chiranjeevi as the protagonist of change and social justice, party sources said.

Party sources said a team of people are working on the project and that it will be ready in a fortnight’s time. Either P Mitra or P Prabhakar will be made in-charge of the channel, the sources said, adding that the channel will project the ideology of the PRP and promote the party as the only alternative to the ruling Congress party.

Another grouse of the Prajarajyam loyalists is that the local media gave extensive coverage to Chiranjeevi when he entered the political field. “But after that, the coverage has been focused on internal bickering in the district committees, organizational deficiencies and other minor lapses thanon the message of the leader. Thus, even as the election bugle is close to being sounded, Chiranjeevi will not be far behind in the media coverage,” one PRP leader said.
