The Praja Rajyam president, Chiranjeevi’s fourth leg of tour began on a dull note in Nalgonda district on Thursday. Changed his rhetoric this time, Chiranjeevi appealed to the people to give him a chance to serve the state. “You have witnessed the regimes of the Congress and the Telugu Desam. Please give me one chance. I will bring the change what you have been waiting for,” Chiranjeevi said. The PR chief addressed public meetings in the wake of the High Court’s ban on road shows.
The modified mass contact programme named Praja Ankita Sabhalu started on Thursday at Yadagirigutta in Nalgonda district. After offering prayers to Lord Lakshmi Narsimha temple, Chiranjeevi addressed the first public meeting at Yadagirigutta. Later he addressed similar meetings at Bhuvangiri, Pochampally, Choutuppal and Nakirekal. However, all the meetings were poorly attended when compared to the road shows in Rayalaseema, Telangana and north Andhra. Contrary to his earlier speeches delivered at various road shows and public meetings, Chiranjeevi passed critical remarks on the Chief Minister, Dr Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy and the TD chief, Mr N. Chandrababu Naidu.
