Film-actor turned politician Rajasekhar said he is ready to contest against Praja Rajyam founder Chiranjeevi in the next elections, if the Congress high-command decides.

Speaking to newsmen at Vijayawada he made a scathing attack on the Telugu Desam Party and Praja Rajyam and said leaders of both parties were ‘power mongers and destined to plunder the country’.

He lamented that when great actor and leader N.T. Rama Rao was in trouble, none of them cared and the people, who backstabbed Rama Rao, are now trying to take mileage out of his name. He recalled that he was alone was with Rama Rao during his difficult period.

He asked the people not to trust those people, who claim that they will serve them. Referring to Chiranjeevi, he said their ultimate objective was to become Chief Minister and plunder the country.
