Film star Chiranjeevi is finally coming out to put an end to months of speculation about his political entry and is expected to unveil his party’s name, agenda and other details at a press conference on August 17. This will be followed by launching of the party at a public meeting in Tirupati on August 26 to coincide with the birth anniversary of Mother Teresa.
He started his political journey by formally inaugurating his party’s office in Jubilee Hills on Sunday night which has intensified political activity in his camp. Congress MP Ch Hajirama Jogaiah, who has been supporting Chiranjeevi’s political entry since beginning is expected to resign from Congress party and also for his Lok Sabha membership on August 17, immediately after Chiranjeevi announced about his party.
Several political leaders, mostly prominently from Telugu Desam, who had resigned from the party in recent months will join with Chiranjeevi at Tirupati public meeting.
